Aveda’s generous support has funded hundreds of water-related projects in dozens of countries across the globe:
In Tilwari, India, more than 100 families now have access to safe drinking water, and community members were trained on maintenance of the water system to ensure long-term success.
In rural Uganda, communities learned about the impacts of deforestation on water quality and availability, then established a nursery and planted trees to replenish the surrounding environment.
In the ancient forests of central Guatemala, Mayan communities were empowered to care for their water sources and trained on effective water management practices.
In Guayaquil, Ecuador, when the new constitution declared access to water a human right, a local organization hosted public meetings to ensure that the poorest communities benefited from this national victory.
